It does not matter who your boss is, or who your president is, or who your manager, teacher or lecturer is… We are accountable to a Higher Power.
According to His Word, we need to pay taxes and obey the law. However, when we choose to follow Christ, why would we not want to obey His Word and follow whoever He appointed in authority over us? Not to follow blindly, but to follow with the discernment that He gives us through His Holy Spirit.
You know a book is really good when you start to read slower as you get to the end of it!

Just a theory:
If someone is a certain way, they just are that way, they do not have to declare it. For example, a rugged guy does not need to say he is rugged, he just is.
In contrast, if someone has to proclaim that they are a certain way, or possess a certain quality, they usually do not. If they did, they need not proclaim it. For example, a coffee shop named the Lovely Coffee Shop. If it was truly lovely, it could have been called the Prickly Pear, and people would still find it lovely.
Just a thought…

“the superfluous is very necessary”
Quotes shared by Bethany Joy Galeotti::
”Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of readiness to die.”
“There is the great lesson of ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ that a thing must be loved before it is lovable.”
“Because children have abounding vitality, because they are in spirit fierce and free, therefore they want things repeated and unchanged. They always say, “Do it again”; and the grown-up person does it again until he is nearly dead. For grown-up people are not strong enough to exult in monotony. But perhaps God is strong enough to exult in monotony. It is possible that God says every morning, “Do it again” to the sun; and every evening, “Do it again” to the moon. It may not be automatic necessity that makes all daisies alike; it may be that God makes every daisy separately, but has never got tired of making them. It may be that He has the eternal appetite of infancy; for we have sinned and grown old, and our Father is younger than we.”
“Jesus promised his disciples three things—that they would be completely fearless, absurdly happy, and in constant trouble.”- “I wish we could sometimes love the characters in real life as we love the characters in romances. There are a great many human souls whom we should accept more kindly, and even appreciate more clearly, if we simply thought of them as people in a story.”

The only consolation:
When I read and hear of, and see, that children are being abused, mistreated, raped and beaten, my only consolation is this:
They will find peace, love and everlasting joy in their afterlife. There will be no tears or hurt or anger in heaven.
They will be loved- without conditions, without measure, and without hidden agendas.
Drive like a hero 114:
You should always assume that the driver in front of you has excellent brakes, and that the one behind you does not.
